About Me
I started woodworking while going to graduate school in Rhode Island. After taking so many classes, I thought it would be nice to start working with my hands. Plus, grad school on its own doesn't pay you anything either. So, I got a job working at a Windsor Chair making shop in Warren, Rhode Island. I spent two years working with some of the finest wood craftsmen around and it didn't take long before I discovered that I had sawdust in my blood. I certainly was not the caliber of woodworker as these men were, but thanks to them I caught the bug. Woodworking has been a part of my life ever since.
Whether turning pens, carving plates, or building chairs, the smell of the wood and the feel of the tools in your hand made me want to make a part-time career out of this. So, in 2014 I finally decided to do it and created Bennett Woodworkers. The purpose of the company is to create and provide high-quality wood products and to teach people the love of craftsmanship.
I hope that your will enjoy these products as much as I love making them.
